Louise Woerner is the Chairwoman, and Chief Executive Officer of HCR Home Care, which she founded in 1978. She also serves as President of HCR Cares, a 501(c)3, which partners with HCR.
Ms. Woerner has received many honors including Rochester Institute of Technology’s Herbert W. VandenBrul Award for Entrepreneurship and is the first living woman to be inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame. Other distinctions include the Presidential Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, presented by President Ronald Reagan.
A leader in health care and nursing, Ms. Woerner was honored with the 2014 Distinguished Service Award from the Rochester Academy of Medicine. Additionally, Ms. Woerner is the Founding Director and first President of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR) and holds many nursing awards, including the Archon Award for Service to the Nursing Community and an honorary membership in Sigma Theta Tau International. She was the first non-nurse inducted into the American Academy of Nursing. She has served on the National Advisory Boards for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on the Nursing Shortage and in Nurse Leadership. Ms. Woerner has spoken and written widely, having been published in more than 50 professional and technical publications.
Her Board service includes two terms on the NY Federal Reserve, including the Advisory Board and Small Business Advisory Board, First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. (now Key Bank), HealthNow New York, the Center for Governmental Research, and AAA of Western and Central New York. Ms. Woerner also served as a board member on the NYS Health Foundation, the Hitachi Foundation, and as an adviser to the Governor as Chair of the Public Health Council. She currently serves on the National Advisory Committee for the American Academy of Nursing’s Institute for Nursing Leadership (INL), the National Advisory Council for the National League of Nursing, the Rochester Regional Advisory Board for Broadstone Real Estate, and the Workforce Consortium for Common Ground Health.
Ms. Woerner has an MBA from the University of Chicago (accelerated program) and a BS, cum laude from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Nazareth College in 2010.
Andrew Bascom has been at HCR since 2012 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer. Andrew directs and manages operations for the certified agency (CHHA), the licensed agency (LHCSA) and Care Management. In addition, the IT and Education departments also report directly to Andrew. Andrew's previous roles included Senior Vice President, where he managed many of the back office departments including Human Resources, Facilities, Medical Records and Compliance. In his time at HCR, Andrew has been focused on improving communications across the HCR footprint, integration/interoperability, improving business support processes, and developing a technology road map. More recently Andrew has been working on streamlining operations and growth across the footprint.
Mr. Bascom has had a versatile career, with over 20 years working in laboratory informatics, application/system development, and infrastructure support. Mr. Bascom developed infrastructure support skills working as a Business Side IT Manager at Kodak. He then moved on to Wyeth/Pfizer Vaccines Research where he developed applications and databases in support of clinical trial operations and testing. He is a graduate of Wyeth’s Eagles Leadership Program and received multiple Vaccine Globe Awards for his role in supporting high profile projects, including registration for Prevnar.
Before joining HCR in 2012, Mr. Bascom was the Director of Data Management and Clinical Systems at ACM Global Central Laboratory where he was focused on strategic planning and system remediation in support of ACM’s clinical trials business. Mr. Bascom received his BS in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology and an AAS in Chemical Technology from Alfred State University.
Suzanne Turchetti serves as Chief Administrative Officer for HCR Home Care, and has been with the company since 2005. Ms. Turchetti’s responsibilities include oversight of the corporate governance operations and the management of HCR’s administrative team. She manages day to day operations of the Executive Office, including budgeting, administrative policies, and has significant fiduciary responsibilities as one of three Corporate Officers in the organization.
Active in the community, Ms. Turchetti is a Director and member of the Executive Committee for Dress for Success Rochester, Corporate Secretary for HCR Cares, and serves on a Committee for the Human Rights Campaign.
Ms. Turchetti holds a BA in Political Science from Siena College, was named as one of the Rochester Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40,” in 2017, and is a member of the 2019 Leadership America class.
Karen Bonomo, RN, BSN, is the Administrator and Director of Patient Services for HCR’s licensed home care services agency division. In this role, she supervises agency professional clinical and paraprofessional services to facilitate and assure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Ms. Bonomo is responsible for the clinical quality, program compliance and operational management of the licensed division.
An experienced nurse leader, Ms. Bonomo previously held leadership positions at Jewish Senior Life, Sibley Nursing Personnel Services Inc./Lifetime Care, Traditions in Caring, and St. Ann's Community. She serves on the Board of Directors of HCR Cares and is a member of the Finger Lakes Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders (FLONEL).
Ms. Bonomo earned her bachelor's degree from Empire State College and her nursing diploma from the Arnot Ogden Medical School of Nursing.
Adrianne Mann, RN, BSN, MSHA, joined HCR in 2020 and serves as the Administrator and Executive Director of the Certified Home Health Agency. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of HCR’s clinical care across 25 counties in Upstate New York, Ms. Mann ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care and clinical outcomes, and oversees the Directors of Patient Services leading HCR’s four regions: Finger Lakes, Central NY, Catskills, and North Country.
Prior to HCR, Ms. Mann worked more than 25 years within the Rochester Regional Health System and served in several leadership roles including Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing for Care Management, Emergency Department, Woman’s Health, Vascular Access, and the Walk in Care Center at St. Mary’s. Ms. Mann worked closely with the March of Dimes, led the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner staff, and led various community outreach drives including Breast Cancer Awareness, Community Backpack Drive, and the Holiday Family Adoption Drive.
Ms. Mann is a member of FLONEL, ANA, and is on the Board of Directors for K9 Orphans. She
earned her BSN from Keuka College and her Masters in Health Administration from
Roberts Wesleyan College.
Rui Ventura, MSILR, SHRM-SCP, is the Senior Director of HCR Care Management, LLC, which is a Health Home Care Management Agency. He leads a team of over 50 dedicated staff providing care management services to Medicaid clients in 24 counties throughout New York State.
Mr. Ventura brings 15 years of management experience in the health care sector. He previously served as HCR’s Human Resource Manager for over 10 years. Prior to returning to HCR in 2016, he was the Director of Community Based Programs at Rochester Regional Health where he oversaw their Licensed Home Care Services, Health Call, NHTD Program, and Home Companion Services.
He received his Master’s degree in Industrial Labor Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and earned his BA from the University of Rochester.
Chris Chimenti, MSPT, is the Senior Director of Clinical Innovation at HCR Home Care. In this role, he directs therapy care delivery by guiding the advancement of best-practice initiatives, and leads HCR’s Clinical Education across its 25-county footprint.
With over 17 years of experience in the home health care, Mr. Chimenti is an accomplished speaker, presenting at both regional and national conferences on the topics of clinical research and joint replacement. His research interests lie in the area of home health care practice, with a particular focus on using evidence to drive successful outcomes. He has conducted a number of studies on areas including falls prevention, Parkinson ’s disease management, and total knee replacement rehabilitation.
Mr. Chimenti serves the APTA Home Health Section as Vice President and Executive Committee member, and was previously the Research Committee Chair and Treasurer. He has conducted a number of studies throughout his career across a variety of special interest areas including falls prevention, Parkinson’s Disease management, evidence-based standardized measures, and total knee replacement rehabilitation.
Mr. Chimenti earned his MSPT from Slippery Rock University and his BS from Grove City College.
John S. (Jack) McIntyre, M.D. joined HCR Home Care as Medical Director in 2015. Dr. McIntyre also serves as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester. He is the immediate past Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Unity Health System in
Rochester, New York.
Dr. McIntyre was President of the American Psychiatric Association. He was also Speaker of the APA Assembly and served in the Assembly for 25 years. Dr. McIntyre led the APA Practice Guideline project 1990-2008 and has chaired the Steering Committee of the APA Practice Research Network from 1992 to 2010. Dr. McIntyre chaired the Clinical and Public Health Committee of the DSM-5.
Dr. McIntyre is Chair of AMA's Council on Medical Service. He currently is an APA Delegate to the American Medical Association and chaired the AMA Section Council on Psychiatry 2003-2009. Dr. McIntyre was Chair of the Committee for Physician Health in New York State for ten years and serves on New York State Drug Utilization Review Board. Dr. McIntyre was President of the Rochester Academy of Medicine (2007-08) and serves on several not-for-profit boards. Dr. McIntyre was awarded the Academy of Medicines' Albert David Kaiser medal in 2014 and previously received the Monroe County Medical Society's Edward Mott Moore Award.
Dr. McIntyre’s current research interests focus on the integration of behavioral health and primary care, quality improvement initiatives including the impact of practice guidelines on clinical care. He has been Principle Investigator of two SAMHSA grants on mental health and substance abuse services. He currently chairs the Monroe County Medical Society Quality Collaborative. Dr. McIntyre has numerous publications, has lectured widely, nationally and internationally and is the recipient of a number of state and national awards.
Dr. McIntyre has maintained a private practice of psychiatry for 30 years has been very active with patient advocacy organizations including NAMI and the Mental Health Association and has been very involved in efforts to decrease the stigma of mental illness, end the discriminatory reimbursement of mental health and substance abuse services and promote quality improvement in the delivery of health care services.
